Yandal West is strategically located in a world-class mining region, close to processing infrastructure and multiple known deposits. Ives Find area is one of Albions high priority target areas where high grade gold has previously been discovered associated with the Ives Granite Intrusive and cross cutting structures. Notable granite-hosted ore bodies in Western Australia include Hemi, Gruyere, and Wallaby – major discoveries formed within similar geological settings. The Yandal West project is also known for structurally-controlled gold mineralisation hosted in mafic rocks including at the Barwidgee Fault and also at May Queen. Many large gold deposits occur in a similar geological setting throughout the Yandal Greenstone belt such as the Jundee and Bronzewing deposits held by Northern Star.
Area presents a geological setting of a greenstone belt that has been intruded by several granite intrusions of various sizes similar to Ives Find target and the Siona gold discovery.
Area interpreted to be the southern extension of the mineralised Barwidgee Structures.
